Relying on a production flow labeled Imprim'vert since 2014, our constant desire has always been to work on areas of improvement for better sustainable development.

PRODUCTION SOLVENT

Engraving a print form requires the use of an engraving agent.

For the production of its flexo plates, Sopack has chosen halogen-free solvents for the well-being of its employees and follows the recycling and destruction flow methodically.

For the production of its letterpress plates, Sopack has chosen to produce these plates without solvents, by using water.

ZERO PAPER VISION

For many years we have been striving to achieve a paper-free production flow.

This involves a change in working methods and the development of communication and collaboration interfaces with our customers and our various employees.

Zero paper if... :

Studies show that after two to three minutes of reading on the screen, it would be preferable to print the document (Source Ademe) but only if you print in black and white, double-sided and two pages per sheet.

We also use ink-saving fonts such as EcoFont and Ryman Eco.

It has to be noted that replacing an analog flow by a digital flow accelerates energy consumption :

We create our websites on a concept of reducing our ecological footprint through a choice of technical performance and design.

They prevent sleep mode and consume as much, if not more, than active mode.

• unnecessary e-mails, unnecessary attachments.

Let's not forget that an e-mail of 1 MB is equivalent to 1 hour of consumption of a 25-watt bulb.

In any case* and as web designers and users, we have a duty to look at what we can do on a daily basis to reduce CO2 emissions.
